Think of times when you:

  1. Led a project or initiative
  2. Resolved a conflict
  3. Failed and learned from it
  4. Influenced without authority
  5. Made a difficult decision

Step 2: Draft Each in STAR Format

Use the templates above to structure each story.

Step 3: Time Yourself

  • Full story: 2-3 minutes
  • Situation: max 30 seconds
  • Action: at least 90 seconds

Step 4: Get Feedback

Practice with someone and ask:

  • Was my role clear?
  • Did the result seem impactful?
  • Was I engaging throughout?
